When I needed a cover designed for my book — arguably the most important aesthetic choice of my career — I thought of Anne Pardes because I had seen her other graphic design work and knew how talented she is. What I didn't know at the outset was what a joy she would be to work with.

The way she approached the entire process was warm, collaborative and thoughtful. She has so much expertise and such incredible instincts, but always heard and incorporated my ideas, and she was able to interpret my feedback to make subtle adjustments, even when the changes were to things as vague as "the vibe". It was such a high-stakes project for me, and Anne made the entire process genuinely fun. I am beyond thrilled with how the image turned out, as is my publisher, whose initial response to the image was: "This is STUNNING. Holy moly. Stunning."
